StuComm welcomed onto Jisc Step Up programme

With growing interest from educational institutions in the United Kingdom, StuComm wanted to ensure that UK decision-makers were confident their requirements could be met. To do so, StuComm decided to apply for the Jisc Step Up programme. We are happy to announce that we have now been welcomed onto the Step Up programme and look forward to working with educational institutions in the UK to help their students succeed on campus.

When they heard about the trouble institutional decision-makers were having when looking to work with EdTech startups, Jisc looked to solve their problems. By assessing startups, it provides decision-makers with an easy to understand overview of startups which meet certain requirements and can be rolled out at UK institutions. To universities Jisc says:

“The robust and vetted Step Up companies that we believe will help you solve those challenge areas are always available for you to engage with here.”

StuComm and the Step Up programme

July 2020 marks the month StuComm joins the Step Up programme. Jisc is satisfied with the recent assessment, as Eva Stirling, Engagement Leader at Jisc notes:

“We are delighted to welcome StuComm who have just become Jisc-assessed, onto the Step Up programme.”

With support from Jisc, StuComm will be engaging with education leaders to help them in their communication challenges, by utilising the StuCommApp. The app provides universities with the ability to provide their students with the right information, at the right time, via the right channel. The full report on the assessment of StuComm can be found here.

Student success through optimal communication

Luke Billings, UK Manager at StuComm, is excited with the admission to the Step Up programme. “So far, we have helped over 30 institutions in The Netherlands with more than 700,000 students using our StuCommApp. We are looking forward to helping support even more institutions and students in the UK as well. Currently, we are working with the University of Reading to help both them and their students. With the support of Jisc we will be better placed to help even more universities.”

“At StuComm, we work tirelessly to help students succeed on campus. We believe the key to success is for students to be informed, engaged and inspired. By communicating the right message, at the right time, via the right channel, we are able to help students succeed” Luke notes. Jisc has created an overview of StuComm’s proposition on their site.
