StuComm part of HolonIQ Europe EdTech 100
This year StuComm has been included in the HolonIQ Europe EdTech 100. Being included in the list of most innovative EdTech companies of Europe, compiled by HolonIQ every year, is a reward for the way StuComm has been supporting students for so many years. Founder and CEO Ronald Kouvelt is proud to be part of this highly rated list: “This definitely feels as a reward for the hard work we put in the past year.”
More than 3,000 companies have been assessed by HolonIQ and selected market experts, with StuComm rated as part of the top 100. Companies are assessed based on the quality and uniqueness of the product, the expertise and diversity of the team, the financial health and funding, the momentum they have and the markt they are active in. “I am especially proud of our team, who have had a great year despite the pandemic”, says Kouvelt.
Value for students
Even with the pandemic StuComm has succeeded in supporting even more students than the year before. “Like any other company, we have had to adjust to this unique situation”, Kouvelt states. “We have experienced that the importance of the communication between educational institutions and their students has grown even more. This reflected on the usage of the StuCommApp as well. Students are well informed through the app and institutions have succeeded to engage with their students as well.”
“The importance of the communication between educational institutions and their students has grown even more, which was clearly visible in the increased usage of the StuCommApp”
The adjustments made at educational institutions due to the global pandemic, asked for changes in the StuCommApp as well. That resulted in accelerated innovations. “Multiple features have been adjusted to better suit the changed needs of educational institutions and their students. Additionally, we developed new features as well. The StuCommApp now includes information about online activities as well as offline activities; students have a personalised overview of contacts at the institution, who they can reach out to for help; and students can check-in on campus to prevent the campus from overcrowding.”
After this strong year, StuComm’s ambition has grown as well. “We want to keep growing as an organisation and support as many students as possible”, says Kouvelt. “Because of our strong focus we have succeeded to increase the number of users significantly, despite the challenges caused by the global pandemic. There are many possibilities to support more students and to innovate our products as well. We will work hard and strive to be included in the HolonIQ Europe EdTech 100 again next year!

The foundation for yet another strong year has been laid over the past few months. “By working closely with institutions and with students, we have increased the value of the StuCommApp. Moreover, we have launched an all new Onboarding App, to help prospective students kick start their education. I have a tremendous amount of trust in our team and in our apps and I am looking forward to next year”, Kouvelt concludes.
