StuComm joins forces with Ready Education and Collabco

Utrecht, July 14th 2021 – The Dutch EdTech company StuComm, market leader in the Netherlands, is joining forces with the Canadian-American Ready Education and the British Collabco. Through this partnership StuComm will be part of the largest student engagement platform provider worldwide. StuComm founder and CEO Ronald Kouvelt is proud of his team for reaching this next chapter. “This brings us a step closer to our goal: to set the global standard for student communication and engagement.”

As one Ready Education, they will serve more than 4 million students at over 425 different institutions worldwide. Kouvelt, who will assume the role of General Manager, Europe, states: “All three companies have the same mission, the same values, and highly aligned products and services. Together we will achieve even more growth than we did. With our combined resources and expertise we will be able to serve institutions and their students even better.”

Focus on students

Little will change in how the team approaches their work. At all times the focus will remain on students, Kouvelt stresses. “We have a shared mission to help students succeed,” commented the StuComm founder. “We study what students need and want from their institutions and facilitate exactly that. We’re also keenly aware that there are many different factors that can influence those needs and wants, and we’re excited to support regional differences in how institutions engage their students by using our global scale to deliver highly localised experiences.”

The new organization will be structured to ensure that all Ready Education customers benefit from the added experience of serving higher education institutions worldwide. “The people at StuComm and Collabco know European students and their schools. They will continue to provide the same high quality experience to them, while now leveraging the knowledge and resources of a worldwide organization dedicated to helping students succeed,” says Kouvelt.

“All Ready Education customers will now be able to leverage a stronger network of resources to support students and develop interventions while benefiting from new tools, like a student portal.” – Gary Fortier, CEO, Ready Education

After having built StuComm over seven years, this is a great next chapter for Kouvelt. “Over the last seven years we have built a great company and have become market leaders in the Netherlands. It is a fantastic privilege to join forces with like-minded people from Canada, the US, and the UK. We continue to do what we have always been doing and now we are able to grow, improve, and professionalize. All of our customers will gain from this move. I am very proud to be making this step and continue on our mission to help students succeed, together”, Kouvelt concludes.
